Dean J. Williams

Dean J. Williams, born November 22, 1958, passed away peacefully at his home on May 8, 2024, surrounded by his adoring family. Dean was born and raised in Delair, New Jersey, to the late Violet and Chandler Williams. Dean came from a large family of siblings. He was one of 13 children. Father of Brandy, Christina, and Jerika. A commitment he further extended as a doting Poppy to his four grandchildren; Dario, JaLiyah, JiaLani, and Jernee, who he loved dearly. Dean is preceded in death by his 24 year life partner Debbie Ciarocchi, and her daughter, Jennifer. He was a member of Local 322 for 25+ years. His helping hands were not only for his work; Dean was always ready to lend a hand to anyone in need, endearing himself to family, friends and even strangers. Those who knew Dean will remember a man that could fix anything. Dean's interests were as interesting and diverse as he was. He enjoyed walking the local flea markets, always on the lookout for unique treasures to add to his collection, including trains, which he loved. Dean was a long time member and historian of the Amvets, Post #101. His appreciation for good food was matched only by his enjoyment of good company, where his generous nature and captivating stories were staples of every gathering. Alongside his children and grandchildren, Dean had a special place in his heart for his cats and one dog. He also had a bonus daughter, Erin, who he loved as his own and a lifelong best friend, Al, who he loved and adored deeply. Dean J. Williams will be primarily remembered for his passionate approach to everything he did. His interesting character, coupled with his generous nature, made him a beacon of light amongst his family and friends. As we bid farewell to Dean, we hold close the memories of a man who showed us his spirit will be profoundly missed but will continue to inspire those who carry his memory in their hearts.
