Erv proudly served his country as a member of the US Army, a period of his life that instilled in him a profound sense of duty and community. His commitment to craftsmanship was matched only by his dedication to his fellow veterans, as he was an active participant at local posts and Amvets, where he enjoyed spending time with friends who shared his experiences. After his honorable discharge, Erv returned to his hometown, where he continued to apply the skills he honed in the military to his civilian life. He built a reputation not only for his professional achievements but also for his personal ones. Erv was a loving husband to his late wife, Linda, and together they raised a family that was the center of his world. He is survived by his devoted children, Michele Higman and Tim Dippold, who will forever cherish the lessons and love he imparted upon them. Erv's legacy extends to his beloved grandchildren, Courtney, Meghan, Kahlan, Evelyn, and Michael.
