Mary Cormier

Mary C. Cormier, passed away peacefully from natural causes on February 5, 2024, in Voorhees, New Jersey. Born on June 3, 1927, in the scenic town of Pomquet, Nova Scotia, Canada, Mary's life was a testament to the power of family, faith, and the joy of simple pleasures. Mary's early years in Pomquet laid a foundation of resilience and love that she carried with her throughout her life. Her journey led her to Pennsauken, NJ where she lived for almost 70 years. Known affectionately as Mary to her friends and family, she was the loving cornerstone to a family that spans generations. Mary's dedication to her family was unparalleled. She is survived by her devoted sons, Norman and his wife Ellen, and Michael and his wife Debbie. Her legacy continues through her adoring grandchildren, Stephanie married to Tom, Colleen and her fiancé Colin, and Kevin; as well as Casey, Colin and his wife Katie, and Kristi and her fiancé Chris. She was blessed to see the world blossom further with the addition of her great-grandchildren McKenna, Declan, Cameron, and Henry, who will carry her spirit and love for years to come. Her siblings Rita, Adele, and Francis will fondly remember Mary's caring nature and unwavering support. She was predeceased by her beloved husband, Robert, and her siblings Anna, Margaret, Georgie, Leo, and Dominic, with whom she now reunites in eternal peace. Mary found solace and strength in her faith, actively participating in church activities. Her interests reflected the tenderness of her heart, with hours spent knitting and quilting, creating tangible pieces of her love that will be cherished forever. Mary enjoyed traveling back to Nova Scotia often, where she reconnected with her family and friends. Mary's life was a beautiful patchwork of memories, each stitch a moment of love and care. As we bid farewell to this dear woman, we celebrate the grace she brought to our lives and the immeasurable impact she made on everyone she touched. Her legacy of love, family, and faith will continue to live on through her family and all who had the privilege of knowing her. Mary's life was a gift, and her memory a treasure. She will be profoundly missed but lovingly remembered by all. There will be a memorial service held on Saturday, February 17, 2024 from 12:00-2:00 at Inglesby Funeral Home, 2426 Cove Road, Pennsauken, NJ 08109.
