Obdulia Eugenia Figueredo

Obdulia E. Figueredo was born on November 5, 1927 in Holguin, Cuba and she entered into the Lords glory on August 26, 2014. She is preceded in death by her husband Angel Figueredo and her sisters Inais Arencibia, Ana Julia Arencibia and Merici Arencibia. Her brothers Roberto Arencibia and Rigoberto Arencibia. She is survived by her brothers Rosel Arencibia, Raciel Arencibia and Robiel Arencibia her sisters Maria Hernandez, Oilda Arencibia, Helia Cuellar. Her nephews David Lee Hernandez Sr., Samuel Hernandez, John Paul Sr. and spouse Maritza Hernandez. Her great-nieces and nephews Raquel Hernandez, David Lee Hernandez Jr, Cristina Hernandez, Emily Hernandez, John Paul Hernandez Jr., Natalia Hernandez, and Nicole Hernandez. Her great-great nephews and niece Zachary Benitez, Sophia Hernandez and David Lee Hernandez III and many, many more loving nieces, nephews and cousins. Nenita/Agui/Gina as she is known to those who loved her, married Angel Figueredo in 1947 in Cuba. Her life forever changed when she gave her heart to The Lord in 1952 at a tent revival service in her hometown of Holguin, Cuba and thus began her life long ministry to spread the word of God. In 1952, she began a Christian children's radio program in Holguin. She touched many lives through her readings of bible stories and songs sang by the children's choir. She came to America in 1971. Her love for this country was like no other. A few years later she and Pipo made the decision to become American citizens. A title they wore with great pride and admiration. Nena had a true entrepreneurial spirit. While living in Ohio in 1973, she started a successful Alternation business. She was also a model for a high end department store in Ohio, named Lazarus. She later moved to Philadelphia where she continued her ministry at Cardone Industries. Nena become a Chaplin in 1987 and touched many lives through her dedication and service to the employees at Cardone. She was also a faithful member of the Iglesias International. Nena and Pipo lived in Philadelphia until they retired in 1995. They then moved to Hialeah, FL where they lived out their lives spending time with family and continuing their ministry. Nena was forever faithful to her family in Cuba. She made several trips back to Cuba to see her family and support the work of Cuban Pastors and Missionaries. Nena'a legacy will live on for many generations to come. She was a beautiful woman who had a heart for The Lord and she was an example of His love. A Godly woman who was giving, helpful, loving, caring, faithful and kind, that is what defined her.
