Richard C Hailey Sr.

Richard C. Hailey, Sr. "Dick", 86 of Pennsauken, formerly of Camden, passed away peacefully on June 12, 2021. Dick was born on May 28, 1935 in Camden to Virgil and Concheta Hailey. He graduated from Camden High School in the class of 1952 as a star baseball player before serving his country in the Army. He was employed by the Camden Police Department and a member of the SWAT team before leaving to start a private investigation firm. Dick was an avid tennis player and loved the Philadelphia Eagles. He was known throughout his life as a generous giver, serving his community through various organizations, including his most recent as the ambassador of the "First Fruits Pantry" for Cultivate Church in Voorhees. Dick was a self-acclaimed chef and loved bringing people together through his cooking. His magnetic personality will be missed deeply by his family, friends, colleagues, and all whom he came in contact with. Dick leaves behind His children, Terese A. Floyd (the late Larry), Richard C. Hailey, Jr. (Sharon), Michael Hailey, Kevin Hailey (Melvina), and Victor Hailey (Brenda). His companion, Sharon Kirk and her children Lisa Tinney (Kenneth), Cynthia Stitcher (Ray) and Richard Kirk (Kim). His brothers, Donald Hailey (Faye), Michael Hailey (Brenda), and sister, Nona Dover (Vernon). Dick leaves behind many loving grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. Family and friends are invited to a viewing on Friday, June 18, 2021, from 9am- 12pm at Cultivate Church, 2303 E. Evesham Road, Voorhees, NJ 08043. Memorial service to follow at 12pm. Family and close friends are invited to join a repast service immediately following.
