Susan Cornaglia

Susan Margo Cornaglia, 62, lifelong resident of South Philadelphia, PA, passed away Friday, January 13, 2023at the University of Pennsylvania Hospital, Philadelphia. She was born in 1960 to the late Victor and Susan (Ricciardi) Dieleonora. Susan was a parishioner of St. Monica's Church, Philadelphia. She was long time member of the CYO at the Senical House, where she met many good friends including her future husband, Michael. Their friendship at an early age, bloomed into a relationship and in 1982 they were married in Epiphany Church, Philadelphia. She was a ballerina until the age of 16 and loved music, always singing and dancing, everywhere she went. She loved to show off her disco dancing and would sing all types of music, especially songs from the band Chicago. She was a reserved young lady, but would let her self enjoy a good concert. Experiencing shows like Chicago and even the Rolling Stones. Susan, from an early age, was considered a favorite child, and her siblings knew it. She loved her family and will be missed. She was predeceased by her parents, her dear husband, Michael Cornaglia in 2020, and her sister, Carole Fortunato and her husband, Anthony. Susan leaves behind, to cherish her memory, her loving daughter, Samantha Cornaglia, her siblings, Victor Dieleonora and his wife Lolly, Sandra Edelman and her husband, Tony, her grandchildren, Joseph Bilotti III and Michael Patrick Bilotti, her best friend and mother-in-law, Louise Cornaglia, as well as, her brother-in-law, Robert Cornaglia and his wife, Eileen, as well as, many loving nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. She had a special group of friends, including, Patty Cody, Lisa Grosso and her husband, Stephen, Chrissy Monzo and her late husband, Johnny and Linda Phantom and her husband, John. Visitation will be Monday, January 23, 2023 from 11:30am - 12:30pm at St. Monica Roman Catholic Church, 2422 S 17th St, Philadelphia, PA 19145. A Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 12:30pm. Interment to follow at SS. Peter and Paul Cemetery, Springfield, PA.
