Tyesha Peace

Tyesha Michelle Peace was born in Philadelphia, PA on August 7, 1972. She was the oldest child of William C. Peace and Gilda Peace Ridley. On January 17, 2024 God gave his beloved soldier her wings in a peaceful transition. Ty, as she effectionally loved to be called, received her education in Atco, NJ where she played basketball in high school. She also attended Benedict College in South Carolina. At the age of twenty-one she gave birth to the loves of her life, twin boys, Maurice and Tyerice Peace. Her babies. Her relationship with God was undeniable. She loved listening to gospel music. Her candid spirit and unwavering love for her family was evident (Matthew 5:16) Let your light shine before men so that they may see your good works and glorify your Father, which is in heaven. Ty was a straight shooter and believed in doing things "HER WAY". She was strict but extremely loving which often complimented each other. She had a heart of gold and this was evident through her love and care of family that meant the world to her. She loved to laugh and enjoyed watching her Pittsburgh Steelers during football season. The collection of anything elephants was very special to her. Spending time with her grands gave her great joy. Throughout her career, she held various positions at local group homes including Archway in Berlin, NJ and Family Services in Winslow Twp., NJ. She adored being a caregiver and enjoyed the cold so much that she moved to Utica, NY and Chicago, IL. Her favorite color was purple and she adored her groups New Edition and Prince. She leaves to cherish her memories; Parents; William C. Peace of Utica, NY and Gilda Peace Ridley of Sicklerville, NJ. Two sons Maurice (future daughter-in-law Shelly) and Tyerice Peace of NJ, one brother Chauncey Peace of Sicklerville, NJ, three grandchildren; Kymora, Tristian and Tamari Peace, favorite niece; Angela Johnson, great nephews Daquan and JaMir Peace, great nieces; Arianna Tripp and Zakia Peace. Aunts; Mary Peace, Joan Peace and Mary Kinnel. Best friends; Sciquita McCants, Shirelle Brown and Mary Bassiou and a host of close nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
