Beulah Borton

Beulah Borton (nee Geyer), age 99, of Maple Shade, NJ, passed away peacefully at Lutheran Crossings at Moorestown, on July 30, 2016. Beulah was born in Philadelphia, PA, on June 30, 1917. She married William J. Borton Sr. on April 22, 1934. They were married for 65 years. Bill and Beulah moved to Maple Shade in 1949, where they lived the rest of their lives. Beulah was the oldest living member of Holy Trinity Lutheran Church in Maple Shade. She joined the church 67 years ago. She was considered the "Number One Mom" of the church nursery and faithfully gave her time and service to the nursery for more than 25 years. Beulah was an avid bowler who was one of the original members of "The Shady Ladies" Tuesday morning bowling team. She loved dogs, her family and making ceramics. She will always be remembered by her family and friends as a gentle, humble and caring person. Beulah was predeceased by a daughter, Beulah, in 1956; her father, Charles E. Geyer; mother, Margaret Geyer (McClatchey); twin sister, Dorothy Paul; and sister, Virginia DeRogatis. She leaves to cherish her memory two children: Virginia Grunsby (Borton) and her husband Ronald M. Sr. of Maple Shade and William Borton Jr. and his wife Kathy of Maple Shade; six grandchildren: Ronald Grunsby Jr. and his wife Ida, William Borton III and his wife Jennifer, Keri Mikulski (Grunsby) and her husband Justin, Jeremy Borton and his wife Jane, Kristen Borton and Michael Borton; nine great-grandchildren: Sydney, Sabrina, Kaci, Cooper, Lukas, Jeran, Abby, Jamie and Ryanne; and a host of nieces and nephews. A funeral service will be held at the Holy Trinity Lutheran Church, 26 S. Forklanding Road, Maple Shade, NJ, on Saturday, August 6, 2016, from 10 to 11 a.m. Family and friends may call from 9 to 10 a.m. at the church. Burial will immediately follow the funeral service at Cedar Hill Cemetery, 5700 Frankford Ave., Philadelphia, PA. Funeral arrangements are entrusted to Inglesby & Sons Funeral Home in Pennsauken, NJ.
