Josephine E. Midiri

Josephine Elizabeth Midiri (Andreozzi), age 97, died peacefully on January 7, 2023 in Moorestown, NJ. Josephine, the youngest of 8 children, was born on March 19, 1925 to the late Pete Andreozzi and Teresa Amati in Mingo Junction, OH. She married the love of her life and forever dance partner, the late Pietro (Pete) Midiri, on February 9, 1946. They built a home in Cherry Hill, NJ, where they raised their family and she lived for over 50 years. Josephine was a devout Catholic and member of Saint Peter Roman Catholic Church in Merchantville, NJ. Josephine loved to dance, host parties, and spend time with her family. She also loved the beach, watching for dolphins in the ocean and playing the slot machines at the casinos. She was affectionately known to her grandchildren as Mom-mom for whom she set an example of selflessness, encouragement, generosity, positivity, and unwavering strength. She will be remembered for her contagious giggle, her aversion to curse words, her model of "everything in moderation", her effortless way of brightening your day, and the most beautiful skin anyone has ever seen. Josephine leaves behind to cherish her memory her daughters, Madeline McConnell (Rick) and Theresa Caputo (James); her grandchildren Ryan McConnell (Danielle), Beth McConnell, Vanessa Kozusznik (Kevin), Meaghen Alexander (Greg), Richard McConnell (Lauren), Tiffany Caputo, and Tracy Warner (Derek); her great-grandchildren Adelaide, Emmeline, Elle, Pietro, Fiona, Tessa, Grace, Max, and Caroline (Zack), as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. She is preceded in death by her beloved husband Pietro (Pete) Midiri, her parents, and her siblings Albina, Viola, Eugene, Jenny, Anthony, Mary, and Philomena. A visitation is scheduled for Monday, January 23rd from 8:00 am to 9:30 am at Inglesby Funeral Home, 2426 Cove Road, Pennsauken, NJ, 08109. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 am at St. Peter Roman Catholic Church, 43 West Maple Avenue, Merchantville. Interment at Calvary Cemetery in Cherry Hill to follow. In lieu of flowers, contributions in memory of Josephine can be made to the Alzheimer's Association.
